Jeff Matczak has been the driving force behind the remarkable success of Kaukauna High School wrestling. As head coach, he has cultivated the Galloping Ghosts into a dominant force, amassing an exceptional dual meet record. Under his leadership, Kaukauna has achieved unprecedented heights, including their fifth consecutive Division 1 State Team Championship in 2025 and a total of nine state team titles, alongside numerous individual state champions. Matczak’s dedication extends beyond wins and losses; he prioritizes character development and instills strong values in his athletes, fostering a culture where success is a byproduct of these principles. His commitment has earned him significant recognition, including multiple Fox Valley Association Coach of the Year awards, several WWCA District Coach of the Year honors, the WWCA State Coach of the Year title in 2014, and the prestigious NFHS National Wrestling Coach of the Year award for 2021-22.
