One of the most intriguing wrestlers on the roster is Alex Penzkover at 144 pounds. The Southeast Polk (Iowa) standout brings significant Greco-Roman credentials after finishing as the 2026 U.S. Open Greco-Roman runner-up at 65 kilograms. Few wrestlers in the field will possess his level of recent national success in the style, making him a wrestler to watch throughout the tournament.
At heavyweight, Preston Krueger of New London brings national experience of his own. Krueger earned Fargo All-American honors with a third-place finish in the 16U division and enters the tournament as one of Wisconsin's most accomplished Greco competitors.

Wisconsin's middle weights feature several wrestlers who have consistently performed at the state level.
At 150 pounds, Izaiah Sanchez of Shiocton concluded his high school career as a four-time state placer and state runner-up. His experience in high-pressure matches should translate well to the dual-meet format.

At 132 pounds, Easton Felchlin of Wrightstown enters after consecutive state medal finishes, improving from fifth to fourth place over the past two seasons. His consistency and continued growth make him a strong candidate for a successful national tournament.
At 190 pounds, Logan Ellwanger of Luxemburg-Casco earned a state tournament appearance as a sophomore and will look to continue building momentum against national competition.
At 215 pounds, Brody Hoffman of Wabeno/Laona/Three Lakes enters after earning a fourth-place state finish and provides Wisconsin with another quality upper-weight competitor.
Valuable Experience at the Lower Weights

At 100 pounds, Eldon Roth of Manitowoc Lincoln brings maturity and experience to one of the tournament's lightest weight classes. The freestyle state champion has consistently competed well against strong competition and should provide stability at the start of Wisconsin's lineup.
Caden Bock of Freedom earned a trip to the state tournament and will represent Wisconsin at 106 pounds, while Kolten Mueller of Milton brings state tournament experience to the 113-pound weight class.
At 120 pounds, Collin Frey of Evansville enters as a former state champion and three-time state placer. His experience and ability to compete in big matches should make him one of Wisconsin's most reliable contributors.
At 126 pounds, Ethan Denk of Manitowoc Lincoln will have the opportunity to test himself against some of the nation's best wrestlers and gain valuable experience for the future.
At 138 pounds, Braden Hamill of Bay Port rounds out the lower weights and will look to make the most of his opportunity on the national stage.
Strength in the Upper Weights
The upper portion of Wisconsin's lineup provides a solid foundation heading into the tournament.
At 175 pounds, Isaac Dunnom of Osceola qualified for the state tournament in consecutive seasons and will look to build upon that experience.
Combined with the veteran presence of Sanchez, North, Botting, Beyer, and Krueger, Wisconsin has a group capable of competing in key matches throughout the week.
